“An urgent call to 9-1-1 last night has alerted us to the latest victim. Rick Masters, night security guard for the Channel 7 Action news station says he heard a scream. He exited the backdoor of the building in time to see a man shove weathergirl Leona Stone into an early model pick-up truck and peel off the lot. Her keys were found on the ground beside her car indicating a struggle. Cigarette butts left in the area show that whoever grabbed her had been waiting a while. The lab is running the DNA through the system now to see if we get a hit,” Brett announced as everyone gathered in the conference room.

S6: Chapter 06: Sorry Wrong Number


Dustin paced back and forth in his living room constantly eyeing the phone sitting on his desk as he debated whether or not to give his friend a call back in Korea. Since seeing that fated emblem hanging on the rearview mirror of that dark SUV he had lost plenty of sleep; awashed with worry over the “what if”. Slowly he approached his desk and leaned over the phone for a moment before finally clutching the receiver in his hand and punching in the thirteen digit number including international calling code.

S6: Chapter 02: Chain Letter


“Patricia Warner, age 31, was found on the north jogging trail of Lancaster park. She was frozen for a period of at least three days; body was still in a solid state upon discovery. After thawing her, coroner notes that the marks found on the victim were indeed postmortem. The ‘X’ carved in her left breast was done with a tool that could have been a scalpel. Cause of death was respiratory failure as a result of a congenital heart defect.”

S6: Chapter 01: Message in a Bottle


“Glad you could make it,” Lieutenant Campbell glowered and moved through the yellow tape escorting the team behind him. “A jogger found her this morning on his usual route through the woods there. She hasn’t been here for more than a few hours but she’s been dead for quite some time.”

“How can you tell that?” Ryan asked stepping beside him on the trail.
